Michael
Lieb begann seine professionelle musikalische Karriere bereits
im Alter von neun Jahren als Mitglied und später auch als Solist des Kinderchores
der Staatsoper Hannover. Noch vor seinem Schulabschluss war er Solist des
Landesjugendchores auf internationalen Tourneen, Sänger der Landesbühne
Niedersachsen in Operettenproduktionen und Gast in Produktionen der Staatsoper
Hannover.
Er studierte Gesang bei der Prof. Harry van der Kamp in der Abteilung für
Alte Musik an der Hochschule für Künste in Bremen und konzertiert
seither mit den
verschiedensten Ensembles wie z.B. “Il Cigno” und “sacrarmonia” und als Solist
diverser
Oratorien- und Opernproduktionen weltweit. So gastierte er u.a. auch
bei den Bachtagen in Novosibirsk, bei der Cadenza Barockmusikwoche an der
Berliner Staatsoper und bei den internationalen Händelfestspielen in Göttingen.
Zudem wirkte Lieb an diversen Radioproduktionen für z.B. Radio Bremen und
LyricFM Irland mit und
ist als Solist bei verschiedenen Konzertaufnahmen zu hören.
Sein ausgeprägtes Interesse für Unterhaltungsmusik führte ihn
zu vielen aussergewöhnlichen
Kooperationen in Chanson- und Popmusikpojekten, wie z.B.
mit der hannoverschen Kleinkunstgruppe “Hebebühne” oder als Sänger
bei der
Berliner Varietéformation “Vivace” auf internationalen Tourneen. Seit
2008 ist er zudem höchste
Stimme der mehrfach preisgekrönten a-cappella Gruppe "Hannover Harmonists".
Michael
Lieb began his professional career at the age of 9 as a member and later as
a soloist of the
Children's Choir of the "Hannover Opera House".
During grammar school Michael was a soloist on international tour with the "National
Youth Choir
of Germany", singer of the "Lower Saxony Stage" in musical theatre
productions and guest singer in
various productions of the "Hannover Opera House".
He studied early music voice performance with Prof. Harry van der Kamp at the
"Academy of Early Music"
in Bremen, Germany. Since then, Michael performs in a number of ensembles including
"Il Cigno" and
"Sacrarmonia". He also performs regularly as a soloist in oratorio
and opera productions worldwide.
Among his numerous appearances, Michael was a guest at the "Bach Festival"
in Novosibirsk, Russia,
the "International Händel Festival" in Göttingen, Germany
and the "Candenza Baroque Music Week"
at the State's Opera in Berlin, Germany.
As a soloist, Michael has taken part in both radio productions and concert recordings
spanning an
international range.
Although trained as an early music singer, Michael's interests for all types
of music has led him to unusual
co-operations in the world of "chanson" and "pop" music.
These projects have included ensembles such as
the Hannover art group "Hebebühne" and "Vivace", Berlin's
world famous varieté formation.
Since 2008, Michael is soprano for the "Hannover Harmonists" a-capella
ensemble.
